The Chippewas of Nawash Unceded First Nation Coldwater Trust is inviting community members to take part in its Annual General Meeting (AGM), an important opportunity to learn more about the Trust’s activities, financial stewardship, and future direction.

The AGM serves as a gathering point for transparency, accountability, and community engagement. Members will have the opportunity to review updates from Trustees, hear presentations from financial and advisory partners, and learn how the Trust continues to support the long-term interests of the community. The Trust is administered by a five-member Board of Trustees made up of community-elected representatives, Chief and Council appointees, and a corporate trustee.

Past AGM presentations have included updates on investments, community initiatives, language programming, and long-term planning efforts. Previous meetings also featured presentations from financial advisors and Trust partners, reflecting the Trust’s ongoing commitment to responsible management and community reporting.

The Coldwater Trust was established to manage and protect settlement funds connected to the Coldwater-Narrows claim settlement on behalf of current and future generations of the Chippewas of Nawash Unceded First Nation. Through annual reporting and regular trustee meetings, the Trust continues to provide accountability and ensure members remain informed about Trust operations and investments.

Community members are encouraged to attend the AGM, ask questions, and stay connected to the work being done to safeguard the Trust for future generations.
